You can pretty much guarantee that at least 60% of concept cars will never reach the production line, this is because most are simply there to display upcoming technology that may be used on manufacturers cars in the future.
This was the case with the Lamborghini Seso Elemento, but due to the sheer amount of positive feedback Lamborghini received, they decided to put it straight into production.
This may be the case with the latest Lexus LF-LC concept which was presented at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show.
2012 Lexus LF-LC Concept Car
If you take a good look at the car, you’ll begin to understand why Lexus receieved such a warm response for this concept. It looks absolutely stunning!
The LF-LC features stylish looks inside and out, and a unique hybrid engine which promises performance
Yoshi Inaba, President of Toyota North America said:
This is just a concept at this point. But judging from the fantastic reception it received at the recent Detroit auto show, people want us to build it.
Going by Inaba’s response, we can safely assume that Lexus were never planning on taking the LF-LC into production, but like with Sesto Elemento, if they iron out the kinks on the car, create a successful marketing campaign and plan out the performance and pricing, then we may see the LF-LC on the road in a few years time.
It’s likely that Lexus with release a car with similar characteristics to the LF-LC first in order to gauge the publics response.
